New external partner to boost growth journey

Partners and management in Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects expand the company’s ownership structure with an external partner in the form of a German family-backed equity fund. Based on a growth journey over many years and strong experience in particularly complex construction, sustainability and digitalisation, the management continue to see significant development potential.

“An external partner who shares our values and visions is the perfect choice for Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. We continue to provide independent council and boost the development we have been underway with in recent years, ”says Gyrithe Saltorp, CEO of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.

The 2022 centennial, Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, was founded by one of Denmark’s most renowned architects, Vilhelm Lauritzen, who is behind listed icon buildings such as Radiohuset and VEGA. More recent works are large complex projects such as Copenhagen Airport, DR City and the mega hospital Nyt Hospital Nordsjælland, including a number of sustainable projects and collaborations with international architects such as Swiss Herzog & de Meuron, American Stephen Holl and Japanese Kengo Kuma.

“Management has agreed that a new partner must be rooted in our culture of independence and community. We have a responsibility for our history and the values to which many colleagues have dedicated entire working lives and which give customers confidence in our services, ”says Gyrithe Saltorp.

In addition to the new German partner, the ownership structure continue to be Thomas West Jensen, Thomas Scheel, Torsten Stephensen, Anne Møller Sørensen and Simon Svensson as well as CEO Gyrithe Saltorp, who also joins as co-owner.
