HTX AND BTH, NÆSTVED
HTX and BTH are situated on the ascending terrain fenced in be an encompassing wall. The main entrance is established in the square that is naturally created between the two buildings. The square is implemented as a large south facing terrace. When both HTX and BTH have been built, the schools will be connected by a glazed section that will provide access to both buildings. The entrance will appear as a lightweight construction so that the two main buildings are well defined. The glazed section could possibly be built of two storeys in order to provide access at both levels between the two schools, thus eliminating the elevator within the BTH department. The encompassing wall contributes to defining the square between HTX and BTH and creates a precise outlined green space between the schools and the development to the south. It is important that the green space is experienced as a green wedge of landscape that connects the school and housing areas to the south, to a beautiful park.
