CPH GO
CPH GO is the latest product from Copenhagen Airport. It includes dedicated facilities for discount carriers in a design especially tailored for the purpose.
Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkitekter and Copenhagen Airports have developed a concept for the look and feel of such a building. Implicit in the concept is the differentiation of its visual make-up from the existing terminal complex, while retaining the high standards of design and finish characteristic of CPH as a whole. This defines the framework for a building that has to be cost and energy efficient while being quick and easy to construct even under the special security restrictions that apply at the airport.
The result is a simple yet fascinating building, industrial in idiom, imbued with an efficient, contemporaneous feel. Colour, graphical design and lighting are applied as design elements that support way-finding while lending the building a breezy, futuristic appeal. Energy optimization is integrated into the building components; this is also a major aspect of the technical design.
