STRUCTURE PLAN, COPENHAGEN AIRPORT

In 1994, VLA won an invited competition between 4 architect firms for the new structure plan for Copenhagen Airport’s North area.

The pre-requisite for the plan was the fixed train and car link to Sweden as well as extension of Copenhagen Airport’s Terminal system including layout of business areas.

During the preceding year, the plan was realised with the new airport terminal, Terminal 3, the attached Kastrup Station, Copenhagen Airport Hilton as well as the multi-storey car park and Metro station. In addition, a proposal has been prepared for the extension of the business area’s approx. 40.000 m².
