FISHING CITY; HECHUAN, CHINA

The primary concept for the masterplan for the Fishing City is to emphasize the significant cultural history of the peninsula for visitors both foreign and domestic. New recreation areas will be combined with the cultural sites as an amenity for both visitors and residents of Hechuan city. A large area of residential development is also integrated into the plan as a secondary element.

Development is concentrated on the northern and eastern edges of the peninsula, opposite Hechuan City. The western edge of the peninsula is maintained in its natural form and the Fishing City fortress is renovated but otherwise left undisturbed.
