VALBY SPORTS PARK
The project was a conceptual proposal for a large urban sports and park area in Copenhagen’s Valby surburb. The task was to plan and integrate a large sports area and a new urban district and park as part of a large neighbourhood regeneration project around Valby Park in Copenhagen. The proposal envisioned the task mainly in the wider urban context of Greater Copenhagen, with the aim of associating the project with similar large-scale urban facilities both historically and in terms of urban planning. The proposal also put forward logistics solutions for establishing a new multi-purpose sports hall, park, shopping centre and urban district. The design aimed to integrate the new structures into Valby Park by placing them behind low grassy banks inside the park.
