OWEGO, NEW YORK

The New Community Centre for Owego in New York consists of two buildings compiled in a united project. Lightweight contra solid. The concept amasses fire escape stairways, elevators, toilets, cloakrooms, technical plant etc., in a core that permits the rest of the building to appear light and transparent. The facades have been the binding element within the design in order to tie the aspect of light and solid together. This open and transparent design allows the project to easily adapt itself to the historical town in Owego.
