DANISH EMBASSY, WASHINGTON
Architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the Danish Embassy in Washington D.C in 1960. The installation appears light and friendly and expresses Danish lifestyle in the most beautiful manner. The function of the buildings are clearly readable from the exterior, where the Ambassador’s residence with its official representative functions is accentuated in relation to the more moderate architecture of the office wing.
VLA undertakes regular renovation work of the Embassy. Most recent is the renovation of the facades, windows and bathrooms. VLA has provided project design and site inspection services for the Client.
