THE NATIONAL BOARD OF INDUSTRIAL INJURIES
VLA won the turnkey contract competition for the renovation of The National Board of Industrial Injuries’ head office in Copenhagen.
The task comprised re-designing a traditionally formed office building from the 70’s into a modern, flexible workplace for approx. 500 employees. VLA’s proposal was therefore based on breaking down the long office corridors and creating large, well-lit spaciousness on and between floors. All sub-functions were designed as “nuclei”, placed in the middle of the building. Thereby, all working stations were placed with optimal lighting conditions along the façade. Double high space ensured visual contact between the floors. |
