The proposal was organised with 18 metre deep U-formed office wings that were laid out about an east—west orientated inner street. Importance was given to the U-formed buildings acquiring a facade toward the inner street.
The project was set out as 3 ‘megastructures’. The intelligent shield was introduced as a roof over the ‘megastructures.’ The shield is intended as the architectural element that binds the megastructures together when seen from the air, from the motorway and from Ellehammersvej. The shield is built up as a flexible climatic screen that can withstand the special conditions surrounding the building, especially with regard to noise and climate.
