DKDM IN DENMARK'S BROADCASTING HOUSE, RADIOHUSET
Vilhelm Lauritzen’s Radiohus, constructed between 1938 and 1945, is a pinnacle of Danish architecture.
The Royal Danish Academy of Music is moving into Radiohuset. The interior of this listed building is being remodelled to fulfill the Academy's requirements regarding acoustics, usability and climate whilst respecting the unique architecture of the building.
Rooms are being fitted out for the Academy's vocal and instrumental teaching, rooms for the instruction of composers, conductors, musical educators, ensembles, etc. In addition, there will be rehearsal rooms, offices for tutors and the administration, an auditorium and a music library. The Concert Hall, Studie 2 and many other distinctive rooms in the building will remain unchanged.
