TRANBJERG SYD

VLA was pre-qualified to participate in a project competition for the development of a residential area in Tranbjerg Syd in Århus Municipality. The total area is estimated to have a capacity of approximately 190 housing units. The residential organization’s vision was to ensure the development of mixed forms of housing and mixed forms of ownership in the area. There was also a desire to create well-functioning areas for common activities for the residents and to ensure the basis for shared operation of common rooms, roads, pathways, playgrounds and recreation areas. A master plan for the competition area including proposals for social housing units with respective floor plans was produced according to the outlines in the tender materials and the Urban Development Plan.
