TOFTEHAVEN – BALLERUP

The project involved the expansion and rebuilding of the Toftehaven nursing home in Ballerup. Existing housing units were rebuilt without significant structural intervention. The 20 new care units have been established as a two-storey housing wing on the south part of the area along Nygårdsvej. The position and layout of the new building ensure optimal daylight and unique views for the new housing units, without diminishing the conditions for the existing buildings. A new apron will be established facing Nygårdsvej which will visually link the two storeys and substantially improve the accessibility of the nursing home.
