SØTERRASSERNE, GLADSAXE
The housing units are designed as four blocks of flats along a north-south axis in a scenically landscaped garden.
Passageways and paths in the terrain interconnect the blocks of flats providing access to the buildings from the south and north sides of the building alike. A ramp on the south side of the building provides flush access.
On ground level, private gardens are established with direct access from the flats. These gardens are bordered by sheltering beech hedges, optimising the possibility of being outdoors with a view of the beautiful, lush common garden. Along the primary entrance side of the building, the ground floor is elevated one metre above ground level to maximise privacy.
Three types of housing unit are used in the project: two-room, three-room and four-room flats whose layout varies depending where they are situated in the block of flats.
