The VLA proposal for a major residential project o none of the most attractive sites in Elsinore -- next to the marina behind Kronborg Castle.

The residential project is based on the vision of creating an attractive, vibrant home setting with an ambiance of creativity and feasibility in a lively architectural environment. At the same time energy and environmental considerations are be emphasised with a view to long-term sustainability.

Ensuring that the housing structure forms an association with the existing housing stock and the beautiful natural surroundings is given top priority. The best possible vistas have been provided from the homes in combination with an open structure which continues to ensure that adjacent properties maintain their visual contact with the beach and sea.

The materials are light and airy to harmonize with their context of sky and sea. The surfaces are robust and enduring in order to withstand the daily wear and tear caused by wind and weather. The facades are whitewashed with balconies in galvanised steel, glass and hard timbers, and windows in grey aluminium.
