Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects was just appointed as the winner of the architectural competition for a new 3,000 square metermedia house for TV SYD.

With a visionary and energy optimized design is the new media building sits in a beautiful countryside in the upcoming Nordic Synergy Park in Kolding. The area should eventually grow to a 15 square kilometers in area, green area with more than 30,000 jobs, research, education, recreation and attractive housing.

In addition to new studies, editing and control rooms, the new media building contains bright and flexible editorial environments, canteens, overlooking the undulating landscape, and an open and inviting foyer.

With the new media house for TV SYD, VLA once again emphasizes its expertise in modern media construction. Through working with the TV-Byen, not least DR Byen, and several ongoing international projects, VLA has now built a solid experience in the design of complex buildings for digital media production.

The project, expected to be ready in January 2013, was won in collaboration with CC Contractor, Midtconsult and GBL.
