The Tuborg Waves form the most recent office development in Tuborg Syd, the new district in Hellerup, just north of Copenhagen. Located along one of the main streets through the area, there are three seven-floor office blocks creating a coherent rhythmic movement towards the sea.
The three office blocks were completed in December 2009. Since then Forsikring & Pension, Lærernes Pension and FSP Pension have moved into two of them. Plans for occupying the remaining space are in place. Fortuna Shipping ApS will relocate there in early August. The last of the three buildings will also be rented out at the beginning of August.
The pronounced internal and external identity of the development was achieved via consistent designs for the frontage and consistent choice of materials. The billowing ribbons of windows in ornamental glass form a vivid, rhythmical movement with reference o resund. By drawing the penthouse floor in across the roof and pushing the base from out under the buildings a powerful architectural idiom is created, and multi-level roof patios can be established.
The sculptural core of the punkthuse contains all the necessary support services, enabling highly flexible interior design on the office floors and ensuring that all workstations can be located along the frontages and enjoy the daylight.
Punkthusene are owned by Pension Danmark and were developed by Carlsberg properties.
